OK, so that's not exactly how it happened. But, we did stay at the Bellagio. We were on the 32nd floor, in some small room that they had to fit between several massive suites. Here's the view from our room.:
A TV! In the Bathroom! I played classical music on it while I showered.
The key to Vegas is to stroll around slowly with your head tilted, acting like absolutely nothing impresses you:

After walking around like this, telling everyone we could that we were on a business trip, we put on our bellagio slippers and bathrobes, and hung out on the 32nd floor lobby.

Then we put the robes back in the room (not the slippers), and went down to the casino. We stood around in our PJs, eating swedish fish and watching people lose money.
Friday was interbike! In addition to just having expenses paid, I got several hours worth of pay just to be at the convention. I don't have pictures, but just believe me- it was amazing! We had appointments with quite a few of our suppliers, but in between we just walked around and drooled. Eddy Merckx and Mark Allen were there, and I saw the tour bikes that guys like Cavendish, Contador, Cancellara and Schleck had ridden this year. In addition, there was just a ton of really cool, really expensive things.
We left the convention, drove to St. George, and stayed at the budget inn:

Tay, this is my favorite post ever. EVER. On any blog in the world. You totally crack me up. Hope you're having a nice conference weekend!
You could sell this as a commercial for the Bellagio - or even Vegas.
He who stays in Vegas . . . is later disappointed at the Budget Inn.

if laughing is good for you, then you have improved my health. (another couple of weeks in a nursing home - as Rob would point out...) My favorite is the bathrobes in the foyer - or is it the head tilt? ciao ciao
You saw bikes that Cancellara and Schleck rode?!?! SHUT. UP.
And, I'm sad that you were only 3 hours away and I didn't to see you. But gosh, it does my heart good knowing you lived it up in Vegas.
Party animal, you.
